We produce home-made, hand-poured, water based pomades for hair styling and oil-based balm for your hair and beard, in Murrieta, California. Paul Onyx Pomade started as an experiment, teaching our four kids entrepreneurship and marketing by mixing ingredients and making candles, soaps and lip balms. And then it happened. We made a pretty awesome pomade our family all uses, so we had to take it up a notch.

Our approach is simple. We use our hands to pour each of our pomades, because you use your hands to bring your best self to life. You aren’t a robot, so we don’t use robots to fill our products.

Our formula is one that minds your health. There are ingredients in hair styling products that aren’t healthy for you, can cause hair loss or other long term health issues. We select ingredients that nourish your hair, are easy to wash out, and won’t impact your health. We’re actively working on creating an array of scents and additional products for our collection. And oh yea, we comply with an mind California Prop 65.

What will never be in our pomades? Good question! There are some ingredients that we will never use, even though they are common and popular to use in hair products, to help preserve it and make it smell pretty. But these same ingredients can strip your hair of natural oils, can inflame your hair follicles and cause your hair to be brittle. So, yea, f**k that. We will also never use sulfites or parabens either, due to association to increased cancer risk. We take that risk knowing that when comparing products, some may smell better than ours or even have a longer shelf life than ours, and we’re cool with that. We care about our health and yours too. If your preference is something that smells fruity and tasty, by all means my friend, whatever tickles your pickle.
